With Niall in period costumes performing the repertory and Samantha as narrator, the informative yet humorous 19th Century Lecture Recital Series is sure to please and delight!

An investigation on the impact of virtuoso artistry on flute development and performance practices in the late 19th century. This lecture recital series will delve into the historical past and map of Briccialdi, Génin, and Boehm by recreating the musical and social context of the time through performances of their compositions accompanied by visual representations of the salon music scene, offering a glimpse of the artistic aesthetic of their time.
